Pierre-André Boullé, Wellness Manager: "The Well Being Week, an invitation to take care of oneself"

What is the Well Being Week?
The Well Being Week, scheduled for June 18, 19, and 20, is one of the initiatives of Eclosia’s Wellness Department. Compared to 2023, the format of this second edition has evolved slightly, favoring a hybrid approach. We are offering four Talk-Workshops, which are open and free for all employees. The Well Being Week complements other initiatives at various levels, such as more comprehensive training in collaboration with Newskills, our awareness campaigns on current topics, and joint activities with ACS (the Arts, Culture & Sports Department).
Was there a particular event or reflection that triggered this initiative?
It is the logical continuation of strategic reflections and discussions we regularly have as a team with our Chief Human Resources Officer, the Well Being & Counselling Specialist, and the Group Safety & Health Manager, among others. Post-COVID aspirations, along with the results and recommendations from our Engagement Survey and EVP surveys, have confirmed our internal observations. Today, our employees have expectations and aspirations; they seek to harmoniously balance their work and personal lives.
What are the main objectives of the Well Being Week?
We have adopted the first principle of the WHO: "Health is a complete state of physical, mental, and social well-being (…)" Beyond our mission at Eclosia, the goal is to raise awareness among our colleagues about the importance of balance in their lives. The body, mind, social, family, and professional situations are all interconnected. None of these aspects should be neglected.
It would not be wise to seek psychological well-being from a therapist while neglecting our overall hygiene of life, failing to cultivate our social relationships with kindness, or not making an effort to stay in good physical condition. It is essential to make time for oneself and to avoid falling into a sedentary lifestyle or a frantic pace of life.
How do you think these activities will benefit Eclosia employees?
These are not ready-made solutions, but rather invitations for our colleagues to open doors and explore part of the Well Being offerings. This will encourage them to ask themselves the right questions, examine and listen to their minds and bodies, and better recognize warning signs such as fatigue or stress. Ultimately, the goal is to help them let go. The final objective is to encourage our employees to become fully aware of their physical, mental, and social well-being—and why not, take action?
Gina, as a Counselling & Well Being Specialist, what are the main well-being concerns of employees, and how does this initiative address them?
There are many. However, the main concerns remain stress management, the notion of mental health—which still carries many taboos—interpersonal relationships, and work-life balance, which has become a crucial issue since the post-COVID period.
This initiative provides an opportunity to pause and take time differently. We will address various themes that will not only allow employees to discover more about themselves and engage in discussions but also acquire new tools to cope with life situations. It may even encourage them to take things further. Furthermore, this initiative aligns with the company culture centered on support and well-being, helping to improve the overall well-being of our employees.
For both of you, what is the most rewarding aspect of working on well-being initiatives like this one?
Pierre-André Boullé – In one sentence: Seeing a colleague flourish, regain their smile, energy, and self-confidence.
Gina Casset – It is seeing the positive impact these programs have on individuals' lives. Watching our employees successfully apply these tools in their daily lives and be better equipped to handle life’s challenges is deeply gratifying. Seeing them commit to better mental and physical health and an improved quality of life is rewarding. Additionally, knowing that we contribute to creating an environment where people feel supported, fulfilled, and better equipped in their professional and personal lives is truly fulfilling.
Four Talk-Workshops Scheduled:
June 18: Managing the Unexpected and Conflict Situations. Rachel de Speville and Gina Casset will discuss the sources of anxiety and stress in our daily lives, with a focus on handling workplace tensions and conflicts.
June 19: Improve Your Core Strength Through Your Balance! Exercise specialist Fabien Houdet will offer a complete range of support in sports therapy and nutrition, fitness, Pilates, spinning, and Ashtanga Yoga, among others.
June 19: Access Bars Therapy. Maureen Descombes and her team will introduce participants to this technique, which involves gently touching specific points on the head, facilitating a calm mental state and promoting relaxation.
June 20: Unlocking the Power of Intention. Valerie Imbert Kerambrun and Gina Casset will provide practical insights into the seven dimensions of intention: creation, kindness, beauty, expansion, unlimited abundance, and receptivity.
