Jean-Paul Hennequin, between classical music and solidarity

Nov 07, 2023

Jean-Paul Hennequin, the new Manager of Fondation Solidarité, has an intriguing story. After completing his Higher School Certificate, his aspirations initially led him toward medicine due to his strong interest in science. However, life had a different path in store for him. Together with a few friends, he ventured into event planning, successfully organizing weddings, concerts, and fashion shows.

Aware that professional success alone was not enough, he pursued studies in Social Sciences, specializing in Sociology at the University of Technology. This journey reflects his deep desire to understand social dynamics and support the most vulnerable. His commitment to social action took root early—while still in college, he and his friends were already involved in helping families in precarious situations.

His talent and dedication caught the attention of the ENL Group, where he completed an internship. Recognizing his exceptional qualities, the company hired him as a CSR Officer, a role he held for 10 years. He then embraced a new opportunity in the Sustainability department, immersing himself in the environmental field. His relentless pursuit of knowledge is evident in his Master’s degree in Sustainability and his numerous training courses.

In his work, Jean-Paul Hennequin faces complex challenges, including frequent legislative changes in CSR policies and the devastating impact of COVID-19 on vulnerable families. Despite these difficulties, he remains resolutely positive, taking pride in the remarkable efforts of NGOs such as Caritas and Lovebridge, which bring renewed hope to those in need.

Beyond his professional life, Jean-Paul has been passionate about opera for 15 years. A trained classical singer, he has participated in numerous concerts and musicals, including Beauty and the Beast, The Phantom of the Opera, and West Side Story.
