Frédéric Telot, Educator at Odysseo: I’m made for this job!

From HR assistant to math teacher to billing manager, there’s not just one, but three worlds! But none of them excite Frédéric Telot as much as the world of Odysseo.
As an educator at Odysseo, Frédéric has had a passion for fish since his adolescence. Yellow princess, Blue zebra, or Red jewel—these are just a few of the species he raises at home in 19 aquariums he made himself!
After high school, he considered opening a fish store, but his surroundings encouraged him to pursue human resources. In 2014, he decided to change course and study mathematics, a subject he taught for three years. However, he never lost sight of his original idea.
When he joined Odysseo’s team of educators, it felt like he was living his dream. He realized that he would be among the employees who would have the most direct contact with the public. That’s why he dedicates himself to learning everything about the inhabitants of the oceanarium. “I need to pass on basic information about the species, their diet, raise awareness about the threats they face, and share anecdotes about the oceanarium and the animals…” He’s so enthusiastic that he’s happy to stay after hours to welcome new fish arrivals. “I’m made for this job, I’m really in my element.” After years of searching for his path, he has finally found his purpose.
