PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Duties and Responsibilities

A pioneer in the Mauritian dairy industry, Maurilait is recruiting a Product Development Officer. The selected candidate will contribute to innovation, continuous improvement, and the creation of new product offerings.

The Product Development Officer will be responsible for:

• Monitoring and ensuring that the sensory quality of our products remains top-tier.
• Conducting trials on innovative recipes to refine and perfect our offerings.
• Leading and coordinating product development execution projects.
• Troubleshooting processes to maintain the highest standards of product quality.
• Collaborating across various departments to foster ongoing innovation and improvement.
• Reporting directly to the Product Development Coordinator, contributing to the team’s overall success.

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Previous experience in laboratory testing, scientific research, or industrial production is a plus.
• An understanding of basic scientific calculations would be an advantage.
• Highly organized, with the ability to adapt and remain agile in a constantly evolving environment.
• A curious and determined problem solver, with strong analytical skills.
• Self-driven and able to efficiently manage priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French.
