Duties and Responsibilities

Pioneer in the Mauritian dairy industry, Maurilait is recruiting a Head of Human Resources to implement its HR strategy and support the company’s growth both locally and internationally.

The selected candidate will actively contribute to strengthening the company culture, optimizing HR processes, and developing talent. He/she will ensure an engaging work environment aligned with Maurilait’s objectives.

The Head of Human Resources will be responsible for the following:

• Managing human resources across all Maurilait sites.
• Implementing initiatives to attract, retain, and develop talent.
• Fostering constructive industrial relations and promoting an inclusive and respectful company culture.
• Deploying actions dedicated to employee well-being.
• Supporting team growth and overseeing their training and skill development.
• Ensuring compliance with labour laws and HR best practices.
• Managing and optimizing HR processes (recruitment, payroll, talent management, training, etc.).

Profile

• Degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an HR leadership role, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in multi-site and international HR management.
• Strong understanding of labour law and modern HR practices.
• Leadership skills with the ability to inspire, support, and unite teams.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Proactive and empathetic attitude.
