Lorry Driver

Duties and Responsibilities

Securing heavy loads and large goods for transport in a safe manner

Assisting and supervising the loading and unloading of deliveries into the lorry

Updating vehicle logbooks and keeping track of deliveries

Making certain that vehicles are mechanically sound and legally roadworthy

Following company safety regulations and obeying traffic laws.

Inspecting and cleaning the vehicle

Reporting any accidents or delays

Profile

Numerate and literate

Able to work independently or in Team

Organised and able to follow planning  and instructions

Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines

Holder of a forklift license an advantage

Driving license: Car and truck (>5T)

Ability to drive long distances while maintaining focus

Good communication skills

Clean driving record

Punctual and responsible

Can work extended hours
